Common Sense Approach - Spiritual Growth

Your spiritual growth is important to us! "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17). Our radio and television broadcasts are designed to help you grow in your relationship with the Lord. We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God by reading your bible, listening to teaching tapes or reading encouraging Christian books if these resources are available to you. The Bible says in I Samuel 30:6, "...But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God." Many times, and especially in today's society, we expect someone else to encourage us, but the only way we are going to grow in our faith and relationship with the Lord is by seeking God ourselves. The best way to grow in your faith is to meditate on the Word of God and ask God by His Holy Spirit to reveal His Word to you. As you spend time in God's presence, He will strengthen you.

Philippians 4:8 says, "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things."

The next few pages are designed to point you toward Jesus and bring encouragement where you may be discouraged. "...The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust..." (II Samuel 22:2-3)
