The Bible says in Genesis 5:24 that “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.” What was there in Enoch’s walk with God that moved him from this physical realm and transported him into the presence of God? Enoch was dedicated to God. A person who is dedicated to God sets aside his own agenda to fulfill God’s agenda. Enoch’s walk with God started when he became God-centered instead of self-centered. A walk with God requires the evidence of faith in His Word. In Hebrews 11:5 we see that Enoch had faith and the testimony that he pleased God. A true walk with God lasts a lifetime. Genesis 5:22 tells us that Enoch consistently walked with God for three hundred years! As Enoch decreased his flesh life and increased his “God life”, God manifested Himself supernaturally – he walked with God, and he was not, for God took him! A true walk with God can only happen supernaturally.
